As much as I adore living on California’s beautiful Central Coast, I got bit by the travel bug about ten years back and LOVE exploring new places. So when a good friend announced that she’d be getting married on the beach in Costa Rica, I immediately ran out to buy travel books and start planning! All this incredible weather we’ve had in California sure makes me want to get my fingers in the dirt and start planting things in the yard. In an effort to use fewer chemicals, Rocket Farms recently began utilizing beneficial insects as part of a biological crop protection plan. Greenhouse crops can be sensitive to a variety of pests, and the more diverse your crops are the more diverse the insects that are attracted to them. The traditional reactive approach would be to wait for pests to appear and then apply the appropriate chemical to control them. Read More
