Charles Kosmont

Chairman & CEO

Mr. Kosmont's involvement with Monterey Peninsula Horticulture (the parent company of Rocket Farms and Growers Transplanting) began in 1984 while he was a partner of the venture capital fund that financed MPH's technology development. He is Chairman and CEO of MPH and its largest shareholder.

Mr. Kosmont is also Chairman of Steven Robert Original Desserts, Fabes Natural Gourmet, and Next Pharmaceuticals. 

Mr. Kosmont received his MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California and his Bachelors of Science from the University at Albany. He is a graduate of the California Agricultural Leadership Program.

Sergio Silva

President

Mr. Silva serves as President of Rocket Farms and Growers Transplanting, both subsidiaries of Monterey Peninsula Horticulture, and has been with the company since its inception in 1982. Starting out in the fields working side by side with his growers gave Mr. Silva an extensive knowledge of the business and also created the solid foundation that has supported the tremendous growth of Rocket Farms.  He became president in 1994 and is currently responsible for day to day operations for both Rocket Farms and GTI, overseeing field production as well as generating profitable sales. A recognized leader in the use of new technology in the transplanting /greenhouse plug business, Mr. Silva frequently travels to Europe and Mexico looking for new opportunities to continue the company’s prosperous growth; one such venture involves state-of-the-art technology from England that is positioned to revolutionize the transplanting industry.

Mr. Silva’s constant pursuit to grow better products has helped establish Rocket Farms as one of the top four greenhouse growers in the United States.

Marc Clark

Executive Vice President

Mr. Clark brings more than 20 years of business experience to Rocket Farms. Under his leadership, Rocket Farms has become one of the largest greenhouse growers in the United States. Mr. Clark travels the world in order to stay on top of current industry trends and to make sure Rocket Farms remains a leader in technology and new product development. He has been known to frequent the jungles of Thailand and high mountains of Taiwan in search of products for Rocket Farms customers.

Mr. Clark is a graduate of San Jose State University. His floriculture background includes management positions at Smith Gardens in Washington State and Valley Tropicals Inc. in California and the Northwest.
